The Dickinson Group has executed numerous major initial construction and furnace rebuild projects for the Non-Ferrous industries of South Africa. Due to the extensive expansion of the Non-Ferrous industries in the North West Province of South Africa and the need to be able to render an efficient and cost effective refractory maintenance service, The Dickinson Group have established a branch in Rustenburg, to render the services and supply the products of The Dickinson Group to the refractory consuming industries in the region.

The Dickinson Group has completed more than 80 major six-in-line and electric arc furnace initial construction and rebuild projects for the non-ferrous industries in Southern Africa and has completed numerous turnkey smelter projects for the African platinum smelters, including Anglo Platinum, Impala Platinum, Lonmin Platinum and Northam Platinum; including salamander tapping, decommissioning, demolision and refractory installation, civil, electrical, mechanical fabrication & erection works and furnace commissioning.
