The Dickinson Group has over the years been involved in numerous turnkey refractory projects for the refractory consuming industries in the KwaZulu-Natal region of South Africa. In 1994, The Dickinson Group was awarded the contracts for the Potlining of Potlines, refractory installation to the Holding Furnaces, Casthouse Launder System, together with the Metal and Bath Ladles on the Alusaf Hillside Smelter Project, Richards Bay, South Africa. Upon completion of the contract works, The Dickinson Group recognised the need to expand its operations into KwaZulu-Natal at which time Dickinson Refractory Services (Natal) (Pty) Ltd was established.

Dickinson Refractory Services (Natal) renders a turnkey refractory service to the industries in KwaZulu-Natal and has been awarded a long-term site-wide refractory service contract at Hillside Aluminium Smelter. The company also renders a refractory service to the metallurgical and process industries in the KwaZulu-Natal region including; primary & secondary aluminium, paper & pulp, titanium, petrochemical & chemical, cement etc, supplying the complete range of products and services of The Dickinson Group of Companies.
